Halloween carnival-challenge piece

This is a front view

 I am making the Halloween Carnival (at least some of the pieces) from the tutorial by Laura Carson. She is also having a challenge to make your piece not in her carnival. I have made the Spooky Time Puppet theater. I had the graphics on file on my computer except for the ones I got from Laura's collage sheet which included the lanterns. the scary pumkin on the beanch and the scardy cat saying on the white banner. I hope top take pictures today of othere pieces I have made and then take a picture of the carnival set up.

I think I have forgotten how to blog!

 This is a pendant I made for a swap. It is made from a heart base of watch, button, earrings and a decorative hairclip.

These are three ATC's I made to trade. They have the theme of sewing.

 This is a doll I made from fabrics in my quilt guild's opportunity quilt. It will be given to the person who sells the most tickets. The theme of the quilt and also our next event is French Country. Here is the link to the guild page with a picture of the opportunity quilt.

The following three pictures are Marie Antoinnette projects I made for the Art Doll Studio in CDA.  The first is Marie jumping out of a cake! With laces and gold and fans and roses and bling. It is on a 9" x 13"canvas.

 The second one is a small picture of marie with bling and shoes, and a crown and some butterflies.

The third one is a 3-d picture of Marie in her bedroom.

 This is a Cone Cat I made for a swap. It was from a free pattern from Cart Before the Horse.

 Here is an item I made for a personal swap. It is the Doodah bird from the Cindee Moyer pattern. I hope my parter like it!

This is the quilt so far I made from the swap house blocks I received in a swap with one of my Yahoo groups. I made the extra blocks that aren't houses. I plane for shashing the same around the edge and then maybe a wonky flying geese border.

My 2013 Hoffman Challenge Doll

Here is this year's Hoffman Challenge doll. I have mailed her off. The piece is called Wonderland. Alice is made from Judi Ward's free Bluette mannequin pattern. I made up the catepillar and rabbit myself.  It is 14 1/2 inches high and the base is 6 3/4 inches diameter. I used beads to represent the legs on the catepillar. He has a little fez on. I used lots of the challenge fabric. The print was big but I loved the fabric,

Its been a few months!

This is the tine I recieved in the tin swap from Nancy. I love the Alice box :). Look at all the goodies she put in my box!

Quilting and bottles and paper!

These are house blocks I made for a swap on one of my Yahoo groups. We have 18 swappers!

 This is an altered bottle I made for a challenge on my CDA group. I mod podged tissue on a Crown Royal bottle. A layer of red and a layer of purple. I then glues some old thick lace to it. I embellished with chain and charms and topped it with an old copper piece I had.

top of boxThis is a paper mache box I covered with Graphic 45's  A Secret Garden line. The flowers were a punchout sheet of same papers. I added wooden feet and mod podged it.

This is a little scene I made using the above papers. I use two of the one with the girl for a stand out effect.

front of boxThis is a box I made from the Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary paper line. I embellished with black beads and black dazzle line stickers. The flowers are cut twice and raised with foam sticky squares.

Small bottles I made for the second part of the CDA challenge. These bottles range from 1" to 2". I used beads, dazzle sickers, glitters and charms.

More stuff I've been making

 This is a doll I made from an Elinor Peace Bailey pattern called 'Anne of the Celtic Mist'. I took a class with Elinor but made another doll. I did make this head so she could paint the face and now I have finally made the rest of the doll.

This is a quilt I made for a quilt guild challenge. The theme was holidays and you coulf search for really odd and obscure ones. I found Mad Hatter's Day which was October 6 due the the 10/6 on the hat. I love Alice and got to use some of my Alice fabrics. The back which I don't have a picture of has Tennison vignettes of Alice's adventures.
